We love our donkeys. All of our donkeys are treated as family. We try to be present at every birth and we raise each baby by hand. We are very selective as to whom we sell our foals. We want each and every foal we place in a new home to go to the RIGHT home.
We prefer not to provide "guard donkeys" for cattle. Although donkeys do make very good guardians of livestock, we prefer our donkeys to be a part of a family, and not just placed out in a field to do a job. Donkeys are very social and intelligent animals, and they enjoy and demand a great deal of attention and social interaction. If you are looking for a donkey to guard cattle, please consider another breeder. We prefer our donkeys live with other equines, preferably donkeys, but horses are good too. Donkeys are herd animals. They need the constant companionship of another similar animal. Without it they become depressed and lonely.
Before we place a donkey weanling in a new home, we want to meet you and talk with you. We want to make sure your new donkey will be the perfect addition to your family as well as a special member of the family, not just livestock. We place our donkeys in their new homes based on the BEST home for the donkey, not just who has money to buy the donkey. If you love donkeys as much as we do, please call us and arrange for a visit.
Some of the items you will need to consider before purchasing a donkey are:
Do you have an equine Vet available nearby who will make house calls if necessary in an emergency? Can you provide a reference if necessary?
Do you have a farrier available who will trim donkey's hooves? Can you provide a reference if necessary?
Are you willing to purchase hay if necessary to feed your donkey if grass is not available?
Are you willing to build a shelter if necessary?
Are you willing to purchase annual vaccinations to keep your donkey healthy?
If you think you may want to add a donkey to your family, please visit our page on Donkey Care. This page will inform you of some of the details of donkey ownership that you may not think of in advance. This is a long-term commitment not to be taken lightly. Donkeys can live as long as 50 years! We want to be sure you enjoy your donkey for life.

15 Year Old Percheron Mare
Registered with the American Spotted Draft Horse Association # F73-M
$2000 Firm
Annie is a draft mare with an extremely gentle disposition and a sweet personality. She comes when you call her, and she is very easy to catch and handle. She stands quietly for the farrier and the vet, and she loads and trailers. She has been trained as an English riding horse, and she is very calm and does not spook. I am looking for a good home for her where she can be ridden regularly and given the attention that she needs. She is not "mare like" at all, she does not get cranky when she is in season, or change her personality at all. She had not been ridden in 3 years and I rode her for the first time on 9/7 and she was very good. Serious inquiries, CLICK HERE to email for more information.

Sire: TLL Sir Elmo
Dam: TLL Dusti
Frosted Creme Jack
White with blue eyes, striped hooves
$100
Frosty was the last foal of 2008. He is very friendly and has a great personality. He loves to be petted and scratched and follows you around in the pasture like a puppy. He has beautiful blue eyes. He has just started wearing a halter. He's not yet trained to lead, but he doesn't resist the lead rope and his willing personality will make it easy to train him. He is such a sweet little guy! He would make a wonderful pet or companion animal. He's currently still a jack, I can have him castrated for you and the price would increase to $250

Lucky was the first foal of 2008. He was born around 7:30am on 3/14/08. He is very friendly and comes right up to you for scratching and petting. He seems to have a playful temperament and nice personality. He has started wearing a halter, but is not yet trained to lead. He's very gentle and would make a good pet or companion animal. He's currently still a jack, I can have him castrated for you and the price would increase to $250

Frosted White Gray Roan Gelding
Frosted cross, mottled skin, light gray roaning, striped hooves
ADMS Registration A-12985
Cash is a white roan gelding. He had some problems during his castration procedure because he was immune to the sedation for some reason and would not go under anesthesia. The procedure was very difficult for him and he was traumatized by it. He is starting to regain his trust in me and come up to me in the pasture for affection. He is already starting to follow me around again and look for scratching on his face again. If interested, please email me for more information. Serious inquiries only..

$250
Born: April 25, 2003
Sire: TLL Sir Elmo 43"
Dam: TLL Heather 44"
White / Gray Roan Gelding (immature height)
Cross & Stripe, black spot on chest, right rear hoof striped
ADMS Registration # A-12212
Cody was born in the late afternoon on April 25, 2003. He is VERY wooly right now with his winter coat, but he should slick out to be a white/gray roan. Cody used to be very shy around people, and it became even worse after he was castrated, so we are trying to help him overcome his fears with positive reinforcement and TLC. He seems to be coming out of his shell very nicely. He will come up to you for petting and let you touch him all over. Cody has a stocky build like his sire, but he has good conformation. He would make a good companion animal for weaning horses or for another donkey. For more information or to visit Cody in person, please EMAIL us.

TERMS OF SALE
All of our donkeys are weaned from their dams at 6 months of age and not before. They do not leave our property until they are at least 7 months of age. At the present time, we don't ship donkeys across country. We prefer to sell our donkeys locally within the state of Texas or surrounding states.
All donkeys will have proof of a negative coggins test and be current on their vaccinations and deworming before sale.
We accept cash or money orders for the purchase of donkey weanlings. Personal checks require a 10 day waiting period before delivery.
I'm unable to deliver donkeys at this time, you would need to arrange for pick-up or delivery by an equine shipping service.
